I write stories for me. I created this story because I wanted to read it, to meet these characters, and watch them evolve. I wanted them to grow and fail around my ideas and a world and universe that is a lot more interesting than this one; although, with some of the same humanly qualities. I needed to meander thru my thoughts for this universe that I could philosophize and translate into something coherent and understandable.
These words are a labor of love and patience, of frustration and inspiration, of encouragement. This one story became many, the many became a universe and a series.
These characters and their narratives were born earlier, but began on paper in 2014 and have grown since. They live, love, fail and succeed as slowly as their author writes them and that is indeed slow and measured. There will be errors and the occasional adjustment. The author’s growth and failings will oftentimes mirror her characters; I own that and apologize for it respectively; I am as flawed as they are, even more so.
I don’t admit to being a good writer, only one that strings together words in hopes that one day they’ll make some sort of sense and entertainment for myself—and maybe others.
Your interpretation of my words is your own. I thank you for reading and hope they inspire you as they’ve inspired me.
As of this writing, there are 26 chapters of The Mirror of Me included on this blog; I’m writing the 27th currently. There will be many more to come. I’m also writing another story set in the same universe of characters called Recalibrate included in The Mirror Series, which I’ll publish to this blog. Enjoy.
